Garford Road Kitchen

We designed the kitchen renovation using as much of the original cabinetry as possible, at the request of the customer. The original large Aga was removed and replaced with various built in Siemens Ovens, which included Steam and Microwave functions. The Aga is to be reconditioned by specialists who have found an alternative new home. As well as the ovens, a flush mounted Bora induction hob with down draft cooktop extractor was installed. We also installed a new Quooker ‘CUBE’ tap which dispenses boiling, sparkling and chilled water and was fitted into the designated beverage making area.

Local builders ‘Lamburn Geekie’ were contracted to undertake the structural support for the chimney breast, after the Aga was removed but before the new work started.

The main change to the layout is the central island which provides a better use of the space and offers bar-style seating for an array of daily uses. ‘Colonial Cream’ Granite worktops which originate from India, were sourced, fabricated and installed with intricate details specified. In addition to the flush mounted cut-out for the hob, under mounted sinks with a minimal visible lipping, and a push button for the waste disposal were also installed.

The furniture units have all been painted in individual RAL colours as specified by the customers.
